Canach - Bog cotton Cyanotype class Inbhir NisCyanotype is an old photographic printing process whereby images are exposed in sunlight and processed in water to produce beautiful blue cyan coloured prints. It was developed in the 1800s and often used for architectural drawings and is where the term blueprint comes from! This print is made using bog cotton, or 'canach' in Scottish Gaelic, which is prevalent in the Highlands during the spring and summer months. It is available in A4 (210mm x 297mm)
